      1. Honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month with inspiring & informative specials on SiriusXM

        According to the American Cancer Society, approximately one in eight women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in their lifetime, and while occurrences are less common in men, they are more likely than women to be diagnosed with advanced breast cancer. As October comes to a close, SiriusXM is highlighting inspiring stories, medical advice, and more with specials in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

        Opry Goes Pink

        The oldest running radio program in the U.S. is going pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness on October 24. To pay tribute to the importance of the month, this Saturday’s weekly?Grand Ole Opry broadcast will feature an extra-special 95th anniversary edition livestream complete with performances from Little Big Town, Lauren Alaina, and Rita Wilson at Willie’s Roadhouse (Ch. 59).

        The Jenny McCarthy Show

        Never one to shy away from important topics, Jenny McCarthy will have a special guest on the show to share insight on the role of health and wellness with regard to breast cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment. Dr. Loretta Friedman, Founder of Synergy Health Associates and developer of Lymph-Biologics, believes that toxicity is a large contributing factor to breast cancer. During the special, Dr. Friedman will weigh in on nutrition, the world we live in, and more while offering tips on staying healthy.         The Karen Hunter Show

        In a candid interview for SiriusXM Urban View (Ch. 126), Rebecca Crews revealed her own recent battle with and recovery from breast cancer. In support of her involvement with breast cancer awareness, Crews opened up about the importance of self-advocating for your health, the experience of having a double mastectomy, and how faith played a role in her diagnosis.         Breast Cancer Awareness?on Business Radio

        During this special, Business Radio (Ch. 132) host Randi Zuckerberg spoke with three contributors to notable breast cancer awareness and organizational efforts.         While there have been invaluable strides made with regard to breast cancer detection and treatment, Breast Cancer Awareness Month reminds everyone about the importance of staying informed and healthy. On a special episode of?Medical Grand Rounds on Doctor Radio (Ch. 110), Dr. Mark Pochapin, MD, hosted conversations with Professor of Surgery and Director of Breast Surgery at NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Cancer Center Dr. Freya Schnabel, MD, and Professor of Medicine and Director of the Breast Cancer Center at NYU Langone’s Perlmutter Cancer Center Dr. Sylvia Adams, MD.
